Agricultural Work Committees Union Distributes Mobile Toilets in Central Gaza Displacement Camps

Categories News

The Agricultural Work Committees Union has begun distributing mobile toilets in the displacement camps in central Gaza, continuing its humanitarian efforts to support those affected by the devastating conflict. As part of its ongoing commitment to alleviate the suffering caused by the recent violence, the union has started delivering four mobile toilet units to shelters in the region, collaborating with international partners to address the pressing needs of displaced individuals across various areas.

Each unit consists of four toilets equipped with all essential amenities, including water supply and suitable sanitation systems. This initiative, funded by the organization Un Ponte Per, is a critical response to the dire humanitarian situation and the lack of basic services within the shelters.

The union is dedicated to ensuring that displaced people have access to sanitary facilities that uphold their dignity and protect them from the risk of epidemics, particularly given the overcrowded conditions in the camps and the absence of necessary health infrastructure. Displaced individuals in Gaza are facing catastrophic health conditions due to the systematic destruction of infrastructure and a severe shortage of health resources, particularly clean water and personal hygiene supplies.

Despite these challenges, the Agricultural Work Committees Union remains steadfast in its mission, deploying all its teams and field personnel to reinforce the resilience of the displaced population and meet their essential needs amid deteriorating health and humanitarian conditions, along with the ongoing destruction of infrastructure and the lack of basic services that exacerbate the daily struggles of displaced families.
