UAWC signs a memorandum of understanding and cooperation with the Arab Development Society
Ramallah – UAWC signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation with the Arab Development Society in Jericho governorate, for collaborating in different agricultural projects, trainings, capacity building and exchange of experiences, activating the role of scientific research and development, working on agricultural policy support, lobbying and advocacy, and jointly searching for funding opportunities for future cooperation
Eng. Fuad Abu Seif, the General Director of UAWC, stressed on the importance of cooperative projects that the Arab Development Society works on, as they are considered important national projects which require great institutional efforts in order to maintain them, and set a great developmental model; Eng. Abu Seif also added that signing such a memorandum comes in an effort to protect this national achievement of a true cooperative thought, and working towards developing it to build an agricultural sector in a unified and sustainable agricultural framework.
On the other hand, the chair of Board of Directors for Arab Development Society, Mr. Ali Al-Hasani, affirmed the joint role of the society and other civil institutions, and the importance of working in unity to achieve development and agricultural reform, improve national industries, and create job opportunities for people with low income, noting that the Arab Development Society has great ambitions to develop an exemplary project and generalize the experience.
Mr. Sufian Baseet, Board Member at the Arab Development Society, revealed the achievements the Arab Development society has accomplished since its establishment, adding that signing agreements with UAWC, Palestinian Hydrology Group, The Land Research Center, The Palestinian Ministry of Tourism and Wattan TV will pave the way for a strategic relationship which will meet the aspirations of the Arab Development Society to build a developmental model in the Arab world, and lay the foundation for mutual cooperation to reach the desired goals which will serve the Palestinian people in general.
Representatives of other civil society institutions that signed the memorandum and the Palestinian Ministry of Tourism confirmed the importance of the success of such a prominent developmental model and generalizing it.
