UAWC organized a Solidarity festival with the farmers and owners of ruined houses in AL-Shuja’ia neighborhood

Gaza -The Union of Agricultural Work Committees celebrated land day on the ruins of the agricultural land in Al-Shuja’ia. Hundreds of farmers demanded the reinforcement of Palestinian unity. 

 

UAWC’s General Director in Gaza Engineer Mohammad Al-Bakri emphasized on the urgency to perform our responsibilities towards the farmers and fishermen who suffer at all levels.

Al-Bakri demanded the International Society to pressure the Israeli Occupation to end its violations on the Palestinian land and allow farmers and fishermen to pursue their rights without boundaries. At the end of his speech, Al-Bakri saluted the international organizations that support the Palestinians and try to lessen their struggle, mentioning the work of the Norwegian People’s Aid.

In his speech, the farmer Abu Abdallah AlManasra called the International Society to urgently work on ending the siege and re-build Gaza, in addition to questioning the Israeli occupation on its crimes against Palestinians. AlManasra stressed that the farmers will not leave their land no matter their circumstances. Finally, AlManasra thanked UAWC for its continuous support for the farmers and fishermen.

The representative of The Palestinian NGO’s Network (PNGO) Khalil Abu Shmaleh called for the urgent widespread movement to reinforce the Palestinian unity.
