The Union of Agricultural Work Committees (UAWC): the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) stop the “Cisterns’ Project” in Al-Rahwa south Hebron
Hebron – IOF prevented workers from working on the project of establishing cisterns within a project called “Defending our Rights”, which is being implemented by the UAWC and funded by the Norwegian People’s Aid in Al-Rahwa Village south of Hebron.
UAWC indicted that the IOF broke into the village and stopped the machines and the workers, and prevented them from continuing their work by arguing that this area belongs to C-Areas. The union indicated that the Israeli Occupations Authorities demolished this year16 residential tents under the pretext of having warning orders to demolish them.
The union mentioned that expansion works are taking place in “Tina Amariam” colony, which expands at the expense of the area’s lands in order to force the citizens to leave.
