The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) closes an agricultural road with earth mounds in Deir Estia
Salfit – The IOF closed two agricultural roads with earth mounds and rocks, to the west of Deir Estia in Salfit province.
According to Nathmi Salman, Deir Estia’s mayor, a military bulldozer accompanied by Israeli military patrols closed the roads known as “Wadi Abu Nasir” and “Qattan Al-Jame’” with earth mounds. Thus it became impossible for any farmer to have access to their agricultural lands and pastures, located on the western side of Deir Estia. The mayor emphasized the importance of reopening these roads.
It is noteworthy that the above mention roads have been, previously, razed by the Israeli Forces. Therefore; they became unusable for vehicles, but by adding the earth mounds passing these roads is no longer a choice because there is no way to pass them anymore. Thus, the number of the closed agricultural roads in Deir Estia area is 6.
