Students from Jerusalem University participate in harvesting olives
Ramallah – Fifteen volunteers from the University of Jerusalem helped farmers from Burqa village, east of Ramallah, with the olive harvesting. This is within “The Land is Ours” campaign that has been launched by the Union of Agricultural Work Committees (UAWC) with the beginning of the season through the “Defending our Rights” project, funded by the Norwegian People’s Aid.
The Union pointed out that this village has been exposed to frequent attacks by colonizers during the year; represented in burning the village’s mosque, cutting olive trees and attacking farmers.
