Digital Media Internship
Position Summary:
The Union for Agricultural Working Committees is seeking a motivated and creative Digital Media Intern to support our communications and outreach efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in social justice, agriculture, and food sovereignty, and be capable of producing compelling visual and written content across digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create engaging visual content for social media, newsletters, and reports using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools.
- Draft, edit, and publish content in a clear journalistic style, suitable for websites, blogs, and press releases.
- Support social media strategy and scheduling across platforms (Instagram, Twitter/X, Facebook).
- Assist in multimedia storytelling, including basic video editing and graphic production.
- Conduct research and fact-checking as needed for content development.
Qualifications:
- Current student or recent graduate in media studies, journalism, graphic design, communications, sociology, economics, or a related field.
- Strong visual design skills with experience using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, etc.).
- Excellent writing and editing skills in English, particularly in a journalistic or report-writing style.
- Knowledge of or interest in agriculture, food sovereignty, environmental justice, or related social issues is preferred.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively within a team.
Additional Details:
Internship duration: 2-3 Months
Time commitment: 20 hours/week
