Colonizers cut down 250 olive trees east of Ramallah
Ramallah – Union of Agricultural Work Committees reported that colonizers from “Shiloh” colony cut down 250 olive trees in Al-Mgayer village, east of Ramallah.
The Union pointed out that the olive harvest season this year started with escalation of aggressive attempts by colonizers in order to prevent farmers from harvesting their olive orchards, especially in areas near colonies and the wall.
This comes with the beginning of “The Land is Ours” campaign that the Union launched to support farmers in harvesting their olive trees. However, volunteers from Japan arrived to support and help farmers in Burin, a village south of Nablus, and Bil’in, a village west of Ramallah. French volunteers will also support and help farmers in areas near colonies and the wall during the next week.
