UAWC and The Food and Agriculture Organization distributed thousands of tropical Seedlings
UAWC and The Food and Agriculture Organization( FAO) ,in cooperation with the Qalqilya Department of Agriculture, distributed thousands of tropical Seedlings to farmers from Qalqilya province , aiming to increase the patch of tropical fruits and to decrease typical crop cultivation, and the project director Eng. Mohammad Mutawe’ , that this project aims to increase the competitive ability of Palestinian crop cultivation on a local and international level through The diversification of agricultural cultivation in line with the Palestinian ministry of agriculture’s strategy. Different types of seedlings were distributed such as, avocado, lychee. carambola, Annona, figs, grapes, and different types of citrus fruits
It is worth mentioning that this activity comes within the project to support the economic growth through the development of the agricultural value chain in the West Bank and funded by the Global Affairs Canada and implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the Union of Agricultural Work Committees in cooperation with the Palestinian Ministry of Agriculture.
