Union Of Agricultural Work Committees
The Union of Agricultural Work Committees (UAWC) is registered as a non-governmental agricultural organization according to the Palestinian Associations and Non-Governmental Organizations Law No.1 at the Palestinian Ministry of Interior. It is considered as one of the largest agricultural development institutions in Palestine as it was established in 1986 by a group of agronomists. When established, UAWC depended on volunteers completely and formed agricultural committees in the West Bank and Gaza to set the priorities of farmers and help the Union in implementing its programs and community activities.

UAWC Objectives
Our Strategic Objectives UAWC’s work is based on a number of strategic objectives, which constitute its efforts and work overall, as to deal with the challenges faced by farmers & fisherpersons, which are as follows:
Objective 1: Promoting small farmers’ steadfastness and sustainability of their livelihoods.
Objective 2:Promoting sovereignty over natural resources and adapting them with climate change.
Objective 3: Enhancing UAWC’s capacity to respond to emergencies, instability and changing circumstances.
Objective 4: Protecting and defending farmers’ national and democratic rights.
Objective 5: Strengthening the role of UAWC an efficient and effective national organization.
